  • I tried the restaurant after reading the reviews. It was a nice, clean, quaint place. The male server I had was somewhat in a go,go,go mode. He spoke fast, acted fast and wanted my input fast. I asked him for his input on the Patio Chimi and he replied in a hurried way that it came as beef or chicken, which would I like? I began to ask him again and he basically told me it's either beef or chicken, which do you want? He wasn't interested in giving me any input about the Chimi. I choose chicken. I also provided if there was a hot choice I'd take it. He just looked funny at me as he walked away. The older Senoira that brought chips and salsa was truly a sweet person with a warming and friendly persona. She was cheerful and enjoyable each time she came to my table. The Senoira at the entry area was also very friendly and cheerful. My male server was the only one that made me feel like I was an inconvenience. He couldn't slow down enough to be friendly and I don't think he cared to. The place was busy but no other staff were acting in such a way. The others were attentive but friendly while doing so. The Chimi had a unique taste that was an enjoyable change from the normal chicken chimi, but it wasn't spicy hot at all. Quite "Gringo" as far as spiciness goes. It was also soft like a burrito though instead of having that wonderful crispy exterior. It was smothered but that wasn't causing the soft exterior. The rice was done well, soft but not mushy with good flavor. The dish also came with a side of unseasoned/flavored shredded cabbage but since I like cabbage it was refreshing. All in all it was an acceptable lunch. Prior to choosing Mi Patio I was considering going to Los Dos Molinos but thought I would try something new and Mi Patio had good ratings. I like hot food and Los Dos, still, has the best! Mi Patio's food was fine but it isn't on par with Los Dos Molino's food. I'll continue going to Los Dos Molinos for my Mexican food cravings.
