| - I tried Bally's out because of the nice location, I left Bally's because of everything else. On first look this seems to be a good gym, but once you scratch the surface it turns into even more of a disaster. The price point on this gym is competitive, but the younger manager is just sort of slimey. Any person accustomed to gym's or sales for that matter, knows the phrase "I'm giving you this price because you're a nice guy", "this offer ends today" or "because your my friend" is a slime ball. This manager uses all of them. Once you do have a membership you're lucky if you can get his attention at all. I was leaving a workout one day and heard him talking to a spin instructor about charging all clients 5 dollars to make money! Classes should always be included with your membership, all classes!
The cardio equipment fills up fast around rush hour, expect a 10 minute wait minimum if you come in around five o'clock on weekdays. The weight room is poorly managed, as seen by weights scattered in different places on the rack. You'll want to pick up a 40lb. weight, find it, only to find out the other one just isn't there. As far as the pool goes, just stay out of it. The water is clearly a step away from a sewage system. The day I signed up I went swimming and found a used razor on the side of the pool, who the fuck shaves in a pool? There is a jacuzzi with a wet and dry sauna as well, but just don't bother. If you have kids keep them out of this area, there is no lifeguard and no immediate plans to hire one.
Let's see, what else... the locker rooms. Well they're pretty standard in architecture, but not in sanitation. They smell like urine.. I dunno what else I can say about that.
All and all it's just bad. This is the first 1-star review I've given. It's unsubstantiated but after I left I heard a story of a man who caught Legionaries disease from this pool- seriously don't go in it!
