| - Long before the Apple craze, I had a Mac. I'm talking historic, pre-OS X territory, pre-Mac word territory. My father insisted that our first family computer be a Mac, and he's never looked back. He bought that ancient mac(hine) and its successive replacements (we had a lot of iMacs over the years) from Westworld Computers. That's about 15 years of business at that one location.
First of all, there are all sorts of things to buy. You have your Mac, or your assorted Mac accessories, like ipods, software and anything else Apple-related you might need. The sales guys know their stuff, can spout off all of the specks and help you find the right fit. And they aren't very pushy, which can come as a relief.
They also have a centre where you can try out the merchandise and play with the computers before you. Many people have become addicted to PhotoBooth this way.
Then there is service. My little MacBook is well-loved so it sometimes dies... And every time it has crapped out, I have been able to go to Westworld. The staff is courteous, quick and efficient. If your product is still under warranty, they get it fixed up ASAP. And they are always honest about what the problem is and how long it may take to get your computer back (under warranty or not). My favourite tech is Ernie, but they are all great guys. I have gotten it serviced at other places, but I've never had an experience that matches the one I get here.
They were one of the first Apple Authorized Resellers in Calgary, and they've stayed in business by doing everything right.
