  • Update from my October 6, 2015 review: Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else STILL As much as I tried to give AMC the benefit of the doubt, they have hired a bunch of incompetent property managers. In February, I decided to get myself a roommate. My roommate wanted to pay her portion of the rent by cheque and I would continue to pay my portion online($2.95 fee to do this method by the way). So the roommate asked me to dropped her cheque off as she works during the hours the office is open and they do not have a drop box for after hours. I handed the cheque to one of the office staff, informed her what unit # it was for; had even written it on the cheque. A few days after the first of the month, I received a notice that we would be evicted in 5 days if the rent was not paid. Luckily I was still in town and went down to the office. I spoke with a different office person who looked through all of the back up and could not find the cheque. Since I hadn't received a copy of the cheque when I dropped it off, I had to wait for the roommate to get back to me with the information on it. Later on that day, I received a call saying that they had found it and it would be applied to our account(and all the late fees deleted). Next, there were more maintenance items that required attention, so I put in an online request(mid February) for it. I headed out of town and asked the roommate a few days later if they had been fixed. I was told no so I called the office. I was told by the office staff that maintenance had fixed the items(which they were not). Have made several attempts to have them come back and our requests have been ignored. Lastly, we received a notice that they were going to enter our unit for the annual fire alarm inspections. Whoever did it failed to LOCK OUR DOOR when they left. Are you kidding me? How do these people still have jobs??
