| - I was in Madison for a week, and I ate here twice. I think I could have been happy eating every meal here.
I tried the bakmi jahe and the pangsit keju (cream cheese wontons) for dinner. It was excellent, but my favorite thing was the sambal goreng tempe that I had for lunch. This is a dish with tempeh, green beans, potatoes, and lemongrass, in a sauce like a thick sweet and sour sauce. If I lived in the area, I would gladly eat that at least once a week. Lunch specials also come with a choice of an appetizer; I had the soup. I don't remember what it was called, but it was a spicy vegetable and tempeh soup that reminded me of yellow curry.
The prices here are reasonable, delivery to my hotel (near the Capitol) was quick, there are plenty of delicious vegetarian options, and the food really hit the spot on a cold day. Now I just need to find my local Indonesian restaurant.
