| - So glad this amazing little shop opened up! (And right down the street from the office, score!) Stopped in after grabbing a quick bite to eat at Flower Child (yes, another favorite of mine), and I was thoroughly impressed from the moment I walked in.
The shop itself is so cute and welcoming with an extensive selection of ice cream and gelato; and then you get warmly greeted and welcomed by Ramsy, the owner. Ramsy honestly made the experience a 5-star experience for me. It's been a while since I met someone who was so genuine, someone who makes you feel like you've just come over for a nice chat and a cup of coffee. Thank you for that, Ramsy.
I was quite honestly a bit overwhelmed with the selection of goodies at Scoop and Joy; my eyes were bigger than my stomach for sure -- they have everything from fresh-baked cookies and pastries, crepes, coffee (smells heavenly), gelato, ice cream, milkshakes -- pretty much anything to satisfy your sweet-tooth craving.
Since I love everything coffee, what better way to get my dessert fix than ordering an affogato (coffee and dessert in one? yes, please!) I asked for coffee gelato instead of the traditional vanilla... and Oh.Em.Gee. Amazing! Pretty sure that's how angels take their coffee/dessert... It was magical. (***Mouth is definitely watering as I write this, remembering how amazing the affogato was -- I may have to make a quick run and grab something***)
I wish I would've had more room in my stomach to also get a crepe or a deliciously-smelling cookie or pastry, but I didn't want to overdo it on my first visit here. It's okay though -- that just means I'll have to go back again (darn, lol). Like I said before, what made this shop exceptional was the incredible and extremely attentive customer service (and ok, the affogato too)! Honestly though, even if the menu items weren't good (which they ARE), I would go back here just to support Ramsy -- no joke. He's THAT awesome!!!
