Pros:
Excellent chicken and fries, warm and friendly smiles.
Very good prices.
Best chicken and fries I ever tasted.
Every time I visit montreal I have to drop by. I tried almost all the other chicken places in montreal and none are even close. That includes cote st luc and chalet BBQs chicken.
Get the spicy sauce and the fries. They are a must.
If you are visiting montreal I suggest you try this place once. It is up there with schwartz and fairmount bagels.
Cons:
A taaad bit unhealthy, lol. But hey.. who can resist the fries and spicy sauce?
Sweets and pastries are not that good. Would concentrate on fattening one's self through the fries and chicken.
Didn't like the chicken sandwiches. Just some slices of chicken stuffed unceremoniously into some average bread.
Waiting times can be long. Order via phone and arrange for a pick up at a convenient time. Otherwise expect up to 45 minutes waiting time.
Small seating area. Better to do take out and gorge and wallow in shame in privacy.
Alternatives and Suggestions:
No alternatives in this life time.
Learn how to say: 'Please! For the love of god! No more fries!' in french before ordering from the nice old lady. Trust me..
For dessert, walk south on st-laurent and you will find ripples ice cream. Also, further south on st-laurent is juliette chocolate for some good coffee and dessert.
