| - Over the weekend, we used a fandango gift card online to pre-purchase discount tickets ($6.80 + the fandango convenience fee) for tuesday night's 7:15 pm showing of Despicable Me 3 (last night). It was pretty easy to use the site overall. (We are also Regal club members but we didn't know how to add it.)
Note: from the parking garage, through the casino floor, past the food court (Starbucks, Ben and Jerry, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Rubio's, Capriotti's, Panda Express, and Fatburger; on the other side there is a Auntie Anne's) to the movie theater is quite a ways (by classic casino design, of course) so unless you park closer, be prepared for that long hop, skip, and a jump.
The line to pay at the window wasn't too bad, but it's a line (there was a longer wait at the concession stand, with about 30-35 people). (There is a different kiosk on the left side, as well.) We just went here while my husband inquired about where we needed to be (so we got out of it). We just needed to go up to the ticket clerk with our confirmation number on my cell phone. Fast!
We got a booster for our son. We passed a couple Party Rooms (we're always scoping out ideas for b-day parties) and bathrooms along the way. Pretty spacious movie theater. The parts we passed were clean, minus the trail of popcorn in one spot. We went to the theater and got our seats. Not many other people in our theater, good. The seats were pretty comfortable, with movable armrests/ drink holders. Enter movie previews. When we exited the row, I noticed how messy other patrons can be, there was popcorn & other garbage everywhere on the floor. We returned the booster. I used the women's restroom before leaving, and for the most part, it was clean.
This was our first time watching a movie in this theater (we recently moved to the area) and I was a bit surprised that it wasn't more busy on a summer night that was also discount price night. We've been to two others' discount days and the Palm's Brenden's monday discount day is a madhouse! (As for being in Red Rock casino, it's been a few years since we returned, but that food court's inviting. Seems like there were quite a few open parking spots in the parking garage.)
