  • I really don't know how I went so long without knowing about this place. It is fantastic! Half market and half food stands, and all enclosed (although they do have some nice outdoor seating too). It's a very kid-friendly place as well. The floors are sealed concrete and the tables and chairs are indestructible, so there's really nothing so delicate they can mess up. When we went mid-day on a Saturday, the place was full of families with strollers. One half is food "stalls" which have everything you could think of, from paninis to sushi to crepes to soup to pizza. We went to the sandwich place and got awesome fresh made-to-order sandwiches with sides of house made pickles or hand cut chips. It was the perfect snack before heading into the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. On the other half of the floor is a market with jars of local canned goods and honeys and soaps and pretty much everything you'd want at a natural, local market, including wine! There are definitely items here that grabby little hands could break, so best to keep the little ones in the stroller in this section. (At least if they are as accident prone as I was as a child.) Moral of the story: Go there. Eat things. Validate your parking. And get up from your table when you're done (don't be that guy.)
