Tea spaces have been blowing up the past few years and a lot of them have been opening up around town, especially in and around Chinatown. I've tried a couple, but nothing really tickled my fancy and I'm limited oftentimes due to my lactose intolerance since milk teas are especially popular. Plus, a lot of them close early.
Tea of Joy breaks the monotony in my opinion. It combines most elements from other tea spaces and blows them away. It's got a good vibe going on, the decor is cute, service is good, they have table games available for play, the menu is unique, they have milk alternatives and hallelujah: it's open late!! I work swing and it's soooooo hard to find a place to hangout after I get off work that's not super ghetto or has a lame menu. I feel like I've been searching forever for a place quite like this and I've finally found "the one."
