| - This is THE most fun thing to do in Vegas.
Think open world style Halloween-style maze meets Call of Duty zombie mode.
Just go do it. Be that cool person in your group (like me) who suggests and plans this event and be a hero. We went with a group of 8 and had 4 women with us, so don't think that this is just for guys.
The immersion level for this activity is insane. From the moment the event "starts" to the moment it ends, this company has poured a lot of creativity and resources into this ~90 minute experience and it shows. No spoilers here but just be prepared to be surprised. You see the photos and videos on here but, just like seeing the Grand Canyon in real life vs photos of it, it's a whole different world when you're actually there at Adventure Combat Ops in the smoke and fog and ambient "dead city" noise. It is very dark and the mandatory goggles limit your vision even more. It's so awesome.
We were picked up in a themed bus by Doc and a proudly bearded man (and I'm sorry bearded man I forgot your name because you were not our group leader, but you're hilarious); from that moment to the very end for the drop off about 3 hours later it is very clear that each employee we interacted with cared about us having a great time in there, which each member of our group very much did.
The lounge and check-in area is very cool; many, many places to take some fun themed photos. You can't take pictures in the event itself but you won't have any chances anyway with all the action. There is an awesome photographer that follows you around taking photos and videos of the action which is available for purchase after, which really was a no-brainer to buy. Not sure where, if anywhere, you could get such heavily themed photos like this while still engaging in an actual activity.
The event starts with a bang, that's for sure, and that's when it will really hit you how much potential this activity is going to have.. and really, however high you set your expectation at that moment, I'd bet that the experience will exceed that expectation.
I've done many of the various things that Vegas has to offer and this is the most exhilarating and unique experience you can have. You can go clubbing, to shows, and pretty much every other activity that Vegas has to offer somewhere else. It was hard to believe how overwhelmingly positive the reviews were but here I am feeling compelled to write one too because -- it's just that good.
Thanks again to the Doc, the funny bearded man, the amazing photographer, check-in lady who kept checking in on us, the sacrificed zombies, and to maybe the most stand-up CEO and business owner I have had the pleasure of dealing with, Mr. Travis.
Thanks again and we'll be back!
