| - Went here for years back when Dr. Doug was working here. I always got him and he was great. My wife seemed to always get Dr. Beth and she did not like it. Told me that fillings were painful, Beth's mannerisms were bad and felt that she was always pressured into doing things.
The last few visits, my hygenist destroyed me (figuratively) causing lots of pain and my last visit, this one looked unhappy with something and really did a number on my mouth. Dr. Beth came in to see me these last trip and my wife wasn't kidding.
She didn't give me much of a choice on whether or not I wanted teeth whiting, just made it sound like my teeth looked like s*** for my age. During my whiting process, the woman working on me was freakin' nuts! Disclosed medical conditions with me, knew who my father was (a Dr.) and talked badly about him and the woman looked like she was high on meds. The most uncomfortable feeling I've ever experienced in a medical practice!
Dr. Beth then told me, I needed this and that and this and that! Upon exiting, I looked at my billing quote for the services, and a mouth guard would cost me $1000 by itself! Dr. Doug NEVER indicated I would need a mouth guard. I have dental insurance which they take yet for some reason, my cleanings that my insurance covered, as well as 1 set of X-rays a year, seemed to get billed to me a month or two later. I cannot begin to tell you how much I have paid OUT OF POCKET this past year. When I first started going here when Dr. Doug was around, my insurance was solid and I would owe a little bit, but not anymore!
Prepare yourself to get text messages and emails galore about any kind of cleaning you have due, or other work. Even if you respond with YES to confirm, you'll continue to get messages about it. Money hungry office that's afraid to lose you as a patient I guess.
Needless to say, I have found a new Dr. and practice, and the work that Dr. Beth told me I needed, was not an emergency like she made it out to be.
