  • Another less than impressive showing by Hertz. Slow an confused counter staff. Reserved a "midsize" ( Corolla or "equivalent") and got a Nissan Vista that smelled badly. I realize Hertz classifies this as a midsize but they (along with most other rental agencies) really need to create the "economy midsize" to throw the no frill, no power, no style cars into. The estimated cost for a week was ~$221 so Hertz proceeded to hold $400 on my credit card. I guess they figured I'd likely keep it for another week. I think it's time to try some of the others. Not to optimistic but I just can't continue to give my business to a company who continues to skimp and slide to the basement on quality and customer service.
