I think my quest for a gracious gelato place has finally been fulfilled when I got the chance to come here to try out their offerings of the cold Italian delight.
For the medium size which allows you to try out two flavors the amount was pretty generous to the point where some of the gelato started to drip over the rim of the cup. That's certainly an upside compared to the experiences I had with the portion sizes at a couple of other supposedly well-regarded gelato places. I had the Mon Cherie (a dark chocolate gelato with bits of preserved cherries and subtle hint of the cherry flavor) and the Soy Espresso which I thought would be a different choice since I've never a soy based frozen dessert before. Both flavors did not disappoint and together with the Cafe Americano which was strong enough allow me to taste the strength of the coffee despite the amount of sugar and cream I added to it.
The staff were also friendly and helpful when I asked which about the number of flavors that came with each serving size and also with the coffee selecting.
Also noticeable is that the display for the gelato at La Paloma is more brightly lit allowing the customer to get a good view of the color of each gelato flavor. I will definitely be back soon.
