| - I came here on Free Hot chocolate day (1/31) to get the buy one get one free deal with my boyfriend. There were 6 or so options, $7 Hot chocolate milkshake, $5 signature hot chocolate, $5 hot chocolate float, $6 peppermint or mocha java or salted caramel hot chocolate. We decided to go with the milkshake and float.
We came at around 9 pm and the line looped around as everyone was eager for their deals. When we reached the cashier, even though there were a lot of people she was still friendly and very enthusiastic. The line moved pretty quickly. Also, it seemed as though the orders were coming out fast as well. A daunting crowd was standing before the order counter, but less than 7 min after we placed our order my name was called! Now that's what I call great service.
The milkshake itself was a bit too chocolate-y for our taste. It had chocolate ice cream, hot fudge and marshmallow cream on the sides, and whipped cream on top. I thought the hot chocolate in the float was also too strong. They did say that they made their own hot chocolate by melting bars and mixing it with cream. My boyfriend said he thought the hot chocolate had a hint of dark chocolate while the shake only had milk chocolate. In any case, the vanilla ice cream in the float satisfied my sugar craving. I ended up finishing that and not the hot chocolate itself.
Overall, I would definitely come back. This is not my first time coming to the milkshake factory and it won't be my last. However, I don't think I will be ordering anything hot chocolate related anymore. Just my personal preference, which is why I still give this place a 4/5 for great service and milkshakes!
