  • Grand Lux Cafe is in the Palazzo Casino, so that was an awesome convenience for two food obsessed folks like my husband and me. We ended up eating here two times on our latest trip to Vegas - Both times were at the wee hours after seeing shows. It was a bit concerning when we approached and saw that the restaurant was nearly completely empty, but since we were hungry, we gave it a go. Once inside and seated, we noticed a couple more full tables near us, so at least we weren't in some sort of 'Twilight Zone' dining experience.. It was actually better than I what I expected walking in! The first visit, we ordered an Asian inspired chicken dish and the Zen Noodles, which were lots of fun. The Asian chicken dish was slightly sweet like an orange chicken would be. It came with an insane amount of rice and included sugar snap peas, which I love. The Zen Noodles came with a large amount of spinach and other greens, a huge bowl of the soup and broth and chicken pieces, and extra coup to pour over your concoction after you'd added all the bits to the bowl that you want. It seemed like a really 'clean' menu item and I really appreciate options of that nature. It had a particularly sour-ish flavor to it, and I'm not sure what that was. If you don't like sour or tangy, you may want to skip that one. On our second visit, we ordered off the 'after midnight' menu. I got a pizza from the appetizer section, and we also got a burger. If I hadn't already been fairly stuffed with chocolate from the Hershey place prior, I would have devoured the entire pizza. It's not that it was anything extraordinarily special, but it had simple flavors and nothing funny that I could detect. Both items were good. Fair warning - the portions are HUGE! Seriously. We could have split any item down the middle and both been satisfied. The decor of the venue is elegant and seems fairly private from the casino, unless you ask to sit in the casino floor section. The wait staff was always polite and quick and kept our water glasses full. I recommend!
