| - The hotel was pretty subpar.
The good:
- Centrally located on the strip
- The flamingo habitat is neat and they offer daily feeding "shows" for free
- Clean rooms
- Price, the Flamingo is one of the cheaper hotels on the strip, which is great if you're trying to save money
The bad:
- Rooms are dated and lack many amenities I would expect in a hotel (i.e. a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc.)
- Common areas are trashy. Ripped off floor number plaques, graffiti in the elevators, torn up walls etc.
- Price, being one of the cheaper hotels on the strip tends to attract a certain crowd. Be prepared to deal with a ton of drunk college kids and rednecks.
- Timeshare hawkers, these people are stationed right outside the elevator banks and bombard you with a sales pitch EVERYTIME you try to go to your room.
- The buffet was mediocre at best. Chefs were rude and a lot of the "warm" food was cold, their mimosas were weak, and their options limited. Their desserts were good, but not $21.99 good.
-Late checkout is $60 dollars (due to the price we made sure to check out on time).
