| - It actually took me awhile to make a reservation here. I called in one or two weeks in advance, and I had to choose between a 10pm table or 5pm. As my partner and I are not late night snackers/eaters, we chose the 5pm. Lesson here is call very early to book. Even when we went in, we see people walking in and asking for a table - they were always rejected.
In terms of decor - it's very nice. I really like how they grow rosemary outside their restaurant and harvest it afterwards. When you walk by, you get that whiff of rosemary smell. When you get into the restaurant, depending on where you sit, you can see how they function in the kitchen. The spaces are indeed a little tight. But not so small that you cannot walk through.
My partner and I ordered the duck in a can, Beef tartare temaki, Maple creme brulee. I was exceptionally surprised at how amazing every single dish was. My absolute favourite had to be the duck in a can. I saw so many people raving about it. But was a little hesitant because I'm not much of a duck fan. But wow, it was so tender, and flavorful. Absolutely worth that $$$ price tag. The Beef Tartare Temaki was also veery good, and the Creme Brulee was quite large. Amazing food. Period.
Service here was also impeccable. Our waiter was humorous, quick, and attentive. I was so impressed by the overall experience. I would definitely come back again when I visit Montreal. I would love to try the other options that were recommended!
