  • My dog died of heart failure 2 months after taking him to Banfield. Don't fall into the trap of buying wellness plan. I signed up for the plan and now I'm stuck with paying for the bill for another 10 months. I asked Vet many times about other options and about euthanizing my pet but she could never give me any straight answers about how his condition was advancing. Test after test. No one could say with certainty what was wrong with him. Educate yourself on pet's condition and at the first 5 signs of diminished quality of life, make the difficult decision. Must have gone at least 10 times into the office during the 2 months. I always left dissatisfied with the doctor's response and front desk staff. Their fees are very high, especially for medication. I suggest you get your medication from Costco. The first month my dog was on medication they didn't even remember to call and renew his prescription. I called and was put on hold for several minutes to receive an authorization before I could have it sent over to Costco Pharmacy.
