| - As the father of the bride, and not nearly as hip and cool as I thought I was or when I was much younger at least, you can imagine my reticence when my daughter began to look for wedding venues in the Phoenix Warehouse district last year. She and her then fiancee, living in NYC, insisted they didn't want a hotel ballroom or country club wedding and was looking for a certain vibe that reflected the cool elegance of the lower east side or Astoria or Williamsburg and that whispered the joy of being young, in love and independently-minded. Over a year ago, we looked at multiple venues none that seemed remotely appealing to me, until we visited upon the Croft Downtown. Besides my daughter immediately falling in love with the venue, I was attracted to the incredible spacious three concept (Ceremony, Cocktail and Reception) areas that were so malleable and like a blank canvas provided limitless decorating options for turning an event space into a gala formal affair. Beyond the venue, we were very encouraged by the dedicated and professional owners Mark and Angela (they also run Angelic Grove a flower and wedding decorating business), as well as the talented and customer friendly staff, always so accommodating. It was easy to sign a contract and begin the nearly one year relationship (which included many visits during their other event set-ups, always greeted by the friendly team). Of course my nerves continued throughout the year not knowing if the Croft could meet my expectations or worried that something would go wrong on or before the Wedding day. After all, how often am I involved in the planning of my daughter's wedding? Well, December 17th, 2016 arrived and I am proud to admit that my anxiety was completely misplaced. The wedding venue was beautiful and artistically designed from every last detail and the entire event had exceeded my expectations. My wife and I are still getting complements about the wedding including how picturesque and appealing the candlelit ceremony room looked reminiscent of a Jerusalem medieval service. What is more telling is how relaxed my wife and I were (isn't it always about the parents of the bride?) from the rehearsal day forward to the last dance because every single detail was handled and we got to enjoy our daughter and son-n-law's wedding without having to worry and play hosts. THANK YOU so much to Angela, Mark and the extended Croft Downtown professional staff as well as all of the recommended vendors . You are incredible to work with and have made this wedding so special for our family. For anyone in my age cohort (you know who you are), that couldn't imaging having an event, let alone a wedding in a warehouse venue, think again. Open yourself up to the imagination and artistic creativity of Angelic Grove and The Croft Downtown. You will not be disappointed!
