| - If I can give this hotel a rating by a star, I'd give it NONE - ZERO ! I WOULDN'T STAY HERE!
I don't even know where to begin, that's how horrible our stay was with this Extended Stay America - Phoenix AZ.
Lets start my rant from the moment I walked in and in the process of checking in. Alex, the front desk person at that time, was coughing and sneezing all over the place, including the pen he offered me to use. I asked if I can upgrade our room to a King Size bed, remembering that I only reserved a Queen Size, his reply to me was "No, you can't upgrade because you used a third party to make the reservation." To my understanding, you can upgrade even if I made my reservation through which freaking 3rd party services out there.
I walked to our assigned room and tried both key card, it didn't work, nor did the lock light up, as it's suppose to. My ASS walked back to the front desk and said "this key isnt working". Alex said, "Did you do it correctly and wait?" In my mind, Bitch I've stayed at 5 star hotels,I'm more than capable of using a key card. He gave me a new card, I walked back to the room, same SHIT happened, key card didn't work. So for the 2nd time, I waked back to the front desk, telling Alex the same shit. Oh may I add that he'd not apologize for the inconvenience this has caused me. I told Alex, that the light on the door nob isn't even lighting up. He decided to walk back with me, I showed him that the key wasn't working. He then tells me that the door needs to be changed battery! That he'll call maintenance. I walked in the room, and automatically smelled cigaret smoke in the room. I called him back in the room and said, this room is suppose to be non-smoking. His reply, does it really smell like smoke, my nose is clog i can't smell. I was given a new room, made him give me a new key card and had him deliver it to me rather than me walking back.
Now the ROOM! I've stayed at Extended Stay America before and already had a clue of how the rooms were. OMG! it was nothing like what we expected!
-The room smelled, it had a musky smell that I can't describe.
-The shower was rusting, had shave hair all over the wall, from the previous occupant
-No SHAMPOO provided
-The PILLOW smelled really bad that I had to use towels as a pillow. They didn't have extra pillows to give me.
-Room layout is not how it's shown on the hotel website.
-Theres mosquitos in the bathroom! How does that happen and why is there mosquitos in the bathroom???
Also, they allow pets to stay here! Not disclosed in the website description also!!!!
I will NEVER stay at this Extended Stay America location on our next trip to AZ!
Let this be a warning to everyone that would like to stay here! If I would of done further research about this particular hotel, I would of enjoyed our 3 night stay at Phoenix a lot better!
