| - Part bakery, part café with indoor and outdoor seating. It's a nice place for casual meet-up with friends.
ATMOSPHERE: Casual, small place located in a small strip plaza. They have an indoor seating with small tables for about 10-15 people. Outdoor seating is available during warmer seasons. Decent place to chill with a book, or meet up with a few friends.
SERVICE: Inconsistent. Over on the bakery side, service is fast. But over on the café side, it seems service is often very slow. There's been times that I had to wait 10-15 min before I'm even greeted. Sometimes I'm so frustrated by the wait, I end up walking out, or just buying something to-go from the bakery section only.
Only once, on my most recent visit, the server working that day was really friendly and came over as soon as I entered the dining/café area. Hopefully this is a positive change that will be maintained!
PRICE: Affordable. It's a nice option different from your nearby chain coffee shops/cafés!
FOOD: Good coffee. Espresso, lattés and cappuccinos are great. Their Portuguese custard tarts are a favourite. But everything I've tried there from the bakery is good!
Nothing fancy, but a nice place to stop while shopping in the Heartland area!
