| - I've been to a few different Regal Cinemas as well as the one at Green Valley and Red Rock. This one falls extremely short of the bar from all the other Regal Cinemas I've been to. I was actually shocked at how poor this one was, out of the other Station ones I have been to.
First off, there is no where to sit (benches). Whereas Green Valley and Red Rock do have benches. Which is a pain for me because I got a big group with me (kids) normally we utilize the benches to put our concessions down and wait for one another to go to the bathroom before we go into the theater. Yeah, I know I could get the concessions afterward instead, but sometimes those lines get long and it could mean the difference between 2 people in front of you vs. 10.
Next, the staff is a downer except for the one gentleman that ended up taking over and serving me in the end ( I have no idea why a lady was serving me at first and then the gentleman took over). The lady was really Grimm. No smiles nothing! Not once did she flinch a smile and my jokes!!! Believe me I was trying extra hard on this one because I was determined to get her to smile at this point! Nope, not one flinch! Everyone laughs at my jokes!!! Or at least a smile!!! I dunno maybe I was butt hurt....I guess you can't win em all.
Oh and the lady I purchased my tickets from didn't even remember what movie I wanted to watch after we had a discussion about the time start!!! I named my movie and said a time that was wrong (thinking of another time start at another regal cinemas) the lady I was buying my ticket from said you mean the one at 4pm and I said "oh yeah my bad, sorry I was thinking of the other place." then she says "so you want "teenage mutant ninja turtles at 3:15?' uh.....lady...u just told me my movie "guardians of the galaxy starts at 4pm, only to follow with teenage mutant ninja turtles at 3:15...ummm ok.
OMG! The bathrooms! NASTY!!! I was so shocked! For a Casino, normally you have some kind of illusion of cleanliness (considering the fact that it's a public restroom), but nope. Pee on the seats, overflowed trash (including the feminine basket)....just gross.
Once we got into our screen room/theater, whatever you want to call it...it was filthy!!! trash all over the floor!! popcorn, candy wrappers, straws, etc. NO ONE cleaned from the previous movie! Or maybe even the previous few movies! It was like the $1 movie theater on Tropicana but worse!!! The layout of the seats at the bottom row are awful. They are not at a decline so the seats will get in the oway of your view if you are a kid or even on the shorter side when it comes to height. Normally these seats are at some kind of decline/hill but this is just a straight row of seats. Which is a disappoint for people who like the front seating.
After we got situated I sent my two girls to go get one more tray/box, which I had already gotten some when I purchased my popcorn but I miscalculated how many we needed. The concession lady would not give my girls the box she gave them a tiny flimsy plastic tray. It could hold like maybe 2 handfuls of popcorn. when they tried to tell the lady they wanted the box she responded to them with saying that was it (I'm quoting my kids because obviously I was not there) which means the staff has no respect for children and will try to get away with not serving them properly. I've never had a Regal Cinema anywhere ever do this, in or out of a casino!
That was my Sunset Station Regal Cinema experience. I am never coming back to this one. Maybe it was an off day for them and being that its a 3 day holiday weekend they were short staffed. Maybe the Senior employees got the day off. Maybe they were under staffed and a ton of people called in sick. There could be so many factors. But the experience was enough to personally NOT EVER want to come back.
The only positive thing about the experience were that the seats are the newer ones like at Red Rock Theater. They are very comfy and recline father then your older theater seats. That is the only reason why I didn't give this experience 1 star. That and the fact that the movie was awesome!! Go and see "GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY" if you have not seen it! It's captivating and is very funny!!! In my opinion Red Rock Regal cinemas are the best. I have a 30 min drive to get there and I gladly do it because the experience is always pleasant and I love the set up of the theater!
