I'm not sure if this place is dying or closing down or whatever.
I walked in around 2:30 on a saturday afternoon which makes me unsure about the store hours because it says they open at 3pm? Maybe it was open earlier that day because it was the day of the Mayweather and McGreggor fight, but it didn't specify.
I only sampled the sorbets - raspberry and green apple. Both were good but the green apple tasted like a green jolly rancher slushy, a bit too sweet and candy-like for me. I liked the raspberry but the texture was that of frozen playdoh. It would ball together and then fall apart in large chunks, it tasted good but I've never had a sorbet do that to me. It was about $5 for a single scoop in a cup but the server gave me like a scoop and a half so it was kinda worth the price. That was about the only nice thing she did. I swear she was like hungover or something, she didn't say hi at all or recommend any flavors and just stared at us until we asked to try something. She didn't even smile. The store display was really cute but just as empty and lifeless as our server.
I don't think I'll be back but this is a good place to go if you're staying at the Monte Carlo and need a quick ice cream.
