Problem:The shower pressure would drop by half after turning on.
Ivan said the problem was the PRV (pressure regulator valve) on the water line into the house. The cost to replace the valve and labor was $704.00. There was no breakdown on the bill for parts and labor.
After further research I found the exact same valve on Amazon for $69.99. That puts the labor cost at $634.00 for less than 15 minutes of work.
The labor was to tighten two couplings on the valve.
This did NOT fix the problem, and I had to have the company send Ivan out again in 2 days.
This time he indicated the problem was the water softener system.
After speaking with Angel (owner) he offered to refund my total bill of $704.00 within the hour. I accepted his offer and thanked him for his costumer support!
