  • Wigle Whiskey Distillery was the best thing we did in Pittsburgh. It's an award winning (the most awarded craft whiskey distillery in the country!) family owned distillery near the Strip District near the water. My wife, baby and I went on a Saturday afternoon for a tour and tasting and had a great experience. Firstly, it's beautiful. It's a large distillery with their bottles on display as art. They have cocktails for sale as you wait for the tour. The tour was the best distillery tour I've ever been on. Our tour guide also does theater and kept us engaged in a non-annoying way. She kept it interesting, informative, and fun! She could also read the crowd and able to shift her tour according to our needs. The end of the tour included a full on tasting (chocolate was involved too). They were also friendly to our baby and allowed her on the tour. The staff were a delight!
