  • HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT sign the contract. They say that you can cancel at any time you just need to talk to Michelle. They make you sign in between sessions so you feel rushed and pressured. They say nothing about the FIVE MONTHS the contract is and then ON TOP Of that they have a 60 day cancellation notice they conveniently don't tell you. After the signing is done they ask if you have any questions. I asked about the cancellation policy and was told at any time and you just need to talk to the manager. Horrible horrible customer service I am so disgusted in this whole ordeal. And then we get the run around well maybe you were told something wrong by one of the employees that got fired or left. Ok that's not my problem YOUR employees were giving faulty advertising. Plus I didn't get a copy of my contract. I hope someone can learn from my mistake and hope this doesn't happen to any innocent people. Amanda was rude on the phone to my sister, who also signed up and was wanting to cancel. She said all membership places have a "60 day" cancellation policy. Ok at lifetime fitness they don't, and desert escape tanning doesn't have a 60 day cancellation policy. They are all nice in person and all smiles when you sign the contract though. Most of the time when I was first going and it was all new and fun and I called and had scheduled appointments I would still have to wait around 10 minutes between sessions because someone else was in the room. Then why schedule me... I did the pea pod steam thing one time and there was some steam at first, and then the machine said "add distilled water to tank". So the steam stopped 6 minutes into the cycle. Very frustrating, I was crunched on time and didn't have the time to get dressed go out there to tell them then go back to the room, undress, do the 20 minute cycle, and then redress. The red light therapy lotion is extremely expensive and they claim it helps with the therapy and highly recommend (pressure) you to buy it. They will butter you up with your free week and then keep harking on you about how you liked it and when you make your next appointment. Very dumbly I bought into it all and am stuck paying for SEVEN months plus the sign up fee. We will see what happens when my five months are up and I go to the store to talk to Michelle, let's hope she is there. Chances are she won't be in store and won't be "available" on the phone to where you have to leave a message. Unfortunately planet beach will continue to be open with all the naive customers signing up. Please don't make the same mistake I did, don't throw your hard earned money out the door, times are too tough for this NONSENSE. If I could give negative stars I would. Funny how the manager only replied to the positive review below..... Not the other NEGATIVE ones. Good job on customer service..... SMH.
