Oh, dear. This is the first time I've had to revise a review from five stars to one star. Nozomi has new owners and the result is catastrophic. First and foremost, the quality of food has suffered immensely. The delicious miso soup is now brown sludge. The sushi falls apart before you can get it to your mouth. The enthusiastic lunch crowd is gone because the menu has been condensed to five or six specials, and, as the rude waitress informed us, "No substitutions allowed! OK?!" Well, no. Not OK. We've come to expect a certain level of customer service from this neighborhood restaurant, and it pains me to know that it will soon fail. Several of the people I work with used to frequent this place. I checked in with them after today's horrible experience and learned that they, too, were very unhappy with the recent changes. It's a shame because I loved this place. I studied in Japan during college and Nozomi used to have the most affordable, authentic food just down the street from my workplace. I'll be looking for another Japanese restaurant and hope that the previous owners are enjoying their well-earned retirement.
