  • A few months ago, as new homeowners, we had a leak in our shower head. I contacted The Sunny Plumber with clear instructions to get a quote for any work that was necessary and wanted to personally review them before the work was completed. They arrived within the specified timeframe, however, I was called away and informed them my girlfriend would escort them to our bathroom. They determined that the shower valve would need to be replaced and decided to replace the shower cartridge ($40 part and 5 minutes of work) as a "temporary" fix, followed by charging us ~$300 for the service, without talking to me directly, as specified. After this, they spoke with me about what they had completed and informed me of the shower valve, and quoted ~$1300 for parts and service. The supervisor realized I was rightly frustrated with what had happened and provided a $60 discount to the work that I did not authorize, which we ended up paying to moved past this. The They also informed me that my warranty company, which I was still waiting on a call back from, might be able to help with the shower valve cost, but they would still need to take my money upfront to complete the work before working with the warranty company. After working with my warranty company, and getting a different plumbing company, I was informed that Delta actually provides *lifetime warranties* and would replace both the cartridge and shower valves FOR FREE! I ended up getting a warranty company contracted plumber who used those free parts and resolved the issue with zero cost to me.
