  • OK, where to start..... I appreciate independent family restaurants, and in most cases they cook with recipes passed down through generations. This IS NOT that place. The kitschy decor with old memorabilia gives the air of a certain authenticity and non commercialized feel unlike the rest of the strip. The food however is a completely different story. I am shocked by the amount of 5 star reviews! I have come to the following conclusion, either these reviewers are: 1. Friends and family 2. Have never eaten in a restaurant better than a McDonalds 3. Don't know how to cook from scratch 4. Exclusively eat Stouffer's freezer lasagna and "make" pasta by boiling dry noodles and pouring Ragu jar sauce over top. 5. Have recently taken part in Las Vegas' new legal marijuana laws before going out for dinner 6. Are completely sloshed from the cheap "house wine" they serve BEFORE they serve you precooked low quality and mass produced food. I am still in awe that the place was full and kept turning over tables. I can't imagine that any of the diners, (us included) could have ever been repeat customers. There is excellent food in Las Vegas. If a celebrity chef restaurant is too pricey, do yourself a favour and go to something like Maggianos where although it's a chain, the food is actually good.
