Upon returning to this Grand Lady almost 4 months since my last stay I must say things started off pretty rocky. Some how in a hotel with over 3000 rooms some wires were crossed and it left me not checked in for 6 hours, after a initial quote of about 2 hrs. When assigned a room the keys didn't work, then the room smelled to high heaven. Out of frustration a offer for an up grade at $15 dollars a night was turned down. I felt it should not have been at a cost as it was presented as the hotels only option?!?!. After stewing in my foul stenched room for 20 minutes I packed up and went down to the desk to plead for another room, or check out. I got a new room just in time to log into a 5pm on line meeting with my team. This caused me to miss out on a full day at the pool. Hmmn why didn't I stay mad?
Well because after that there was not one other issue or problem and The hotel shined her wonderful vibrant colors and I forgot all about day one.
Dang this place is that good? It is! she is majestic and her staff is wonderful and friendly, and mistakes happen.
The pool on the second day was fantastic and I did enjoy it the third day as well. It's beautiful with great towel service, and lots of lounges to relax and soak up the sun. Food and beverage service was top notch, efficient and friendly my 2 favorite things when I have to open my wallet. The pool itself is grand with tall rock waterfalls and just the right temperature.
Gaming went well and I again enjoyed Cravings, The Pantry and The Still, all well run outlets. My only gripe would be the Essentials store needs to price the items in the store. It's outrageously expencive and guest should know that before they pick up those $5 chips or 12 dollar pre-made/plastic wrapped sandwich. It's Vegas and you are going to pay but informed purchases should be afforded to its guests.
Looking for a hotel center strip, take my recommendation and giver her a try! an informed try!
