Can I give zero stars? Awful. So awful. I will never rent a car from them again. I rented a car through Priceline for 3 days. For the 3 day rental plus $11/day insurance my total came to $123.81. Great.
Fast forward to my pick up day, get to Avis where Jake helps me out. Or doesn't. Let's go with doesn't. Just inconveniences me. He talks me into the fuel package, fine. He prints the sheets for me to sign. I make notice of all the extra charges and ask him about them. He can't tell me what any of the charges are except for the fuel package and the car rate. Just telling me it's taxes. Because I'm going to be late for work, I sign and leave thinking "I'll call customer service and take car of it." I call customer service where she tells me the difference comes from a $58/day charge for full insurance. WHAT?! I am 100% positive I signed up for $11/day coverage. I have a receipt and confirmation number to prove it. That does NOT matter apparently. I'm told that I signed for it so I accepted the charges. I see your point.. but really? I find it extremely hard to believe nothing can be done because I initialed paperwork. My final charge is $318.61. A difference of $194.80.
