  • First, and foremost, I would like to thank all of the other reviewers on here. If not for your review, I would be alongside you stuck in a negative experience and scammed. To begin, my experience with Sapphire was not that horrible. My husband and I were approached while walking in front of the Paris casino with a coupon for free dinner and drinks. Then, he offered us free show tickets and waved over another guy. This man pitched the tickets if we agreed to a short time share presentation (not short at all! At least 2 hours). Since we had personal talks about our interest in a time share, we agreed and were walked over to the Jockey Club. Along the way, the gentleman told us to "do our homework" which I thought nothing of at the time. So, we go in and were transferred between at least 4 other people before getting to the sales associate who was nice, but new and didn't have much experience in sales. So we sit for the presentation given by an older gentleman who was quite good at selling because he excited me about the timeshare and I was truly interested in buying. The presentation was over after about 30 minutes (which included an offer for a free trip back to Las Vegas and then upped to Hawaii, Cabo, or Puerto Vallarta as a "one time" deal...oddly enough they had printed brochures for the trips at the next step). After the presentation, the sales associate walked us to the rooms to show us what we would get (outdated rooms with white cabinets and appliances) and then to the sales center full of several tables and men ready to sell. The associate is then joined by another gentleman who explains the details of the timeshare and tells us about all the numbers ($9995 for lifetime package with a "free" week of vacation anywhere, discounted rates throughout any other time of the year, and as a bonus a free trip to California for 4 and the Hawaii/Cabo/Puerto Vallarta trip OR $5995 (I think) for the same deal for 45 years and no bonus trips). So, needless to say, I was sold and my husband was skeptical but let me do what I wanted so I said yes to the lifetime package and rang a bell while I waited to be taken to closing. For some reason, after waiting for 30 minutes, I got the inkling to look at reviews on the way over to the closing office. Of course, they were all negative and I freaked. I asked for some time to speak with my husband (the closing agent left the audio recorder on) who I showed the reviews to and naturally we backed out. About 4 associates tried to convince us to continue with the deal and we declined and they were UPSET. However, because we hadn't signed any real paperwork other than the application, they refunded the deposit ($900) and gave us our free show tickets. Altogether the ordeal took 4 hours of my trip, but at least I didn't walk away a member (thanks to you all). So, in summary, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!
