I should have checked Yelp before purchasing the Groupon!
So I buy the Groupon (5 windows tinted for $105) and immediately call the schedule. Their first available time is about 4 weeks what. Whatever. The sales rep takes all my info over the phone INCLUDING THE CAR TYPE and books the appointment. I drive a Ford F-250 by the way.
I arrive at the location and the first thing the front desk guy does is ask to see my Groupon voucher, takes my phone, and marks the voucher as redeemed. Strange.
Next he takes me around the store to show me the different types of tint they have for my windows. The first one he shows me is their lowest end tint. This is the type of Tint included in the Groupon and he definitely does not recommend it. We live in Las Vegas and the sun is just too much for this type of tint. WTF?! Then why do you sell it and why do you advertise for it?
I pick out a tint I like and he does his calculations and says that I need to pay an ADDITIONAL $515 to have the job done. No way! I tell him to just forget about it and do whatever the Groupon gives me. He looks at my car and say by the way, you have an extra large car and the windows are large so you are going to pay extra for that. I told him that I informed him of the type of vehicle I have when I made the appointment a month ago and nobody informed me of the extra charges. His reply was that its in the fine print of the Groupon and I should have read it.
At this point I loose my cool and storm out of the store. I called Groupon to inform them of what happened and their reply was that too much time had passed from when I purchased the groupon for a refund. Not only that, but they see my voucher as redeemed!!! Now I understand why they waited so long for my appointment!!!
I am currently in the process of disputing this with Groupon to try and get my money back.
