Overall I liked this casino. Not the most extravagant but I can definitely see myself staying here again.
Warning: don't fall for the email offering a room upgrade with a view of the strip. For an additional $9 per night, I get to have a view of the strip! Instead, I was stuck on the 5th floor and got to see their roof! Ripped off!
But here is why I liked it here
- Doesn't have a nightclub so the casino wasn't as crowded at night and it was easy to find parking close to the elevator (except if there is an event at the T-Mobile Arena). Then good luck with self-parking!
- Even on this Memorial Day weekend, the table limits were not high. Example: minimum bets on the craps table stayed at $10 whereas higher end casinos normally have it at $15.
- Outside of NY, NY, there are areas where you can park (at Park MGM or along Las Vegas Blvd) yourself at a table with a beer and people watch. Relaxing way to pass the time if you are getting killed on the table!
- The pizza at Sirrico's on the first floor is addicting!
- the Pearl M life tier gets you free parking at the MGM properties. if you don't have the gambling record, then you can always get the M life credit card which starts you off at Pearl...
My wife prefers to stay at the Aria, but if I am paying then New York, New York, it is! LoL
