Arriving in Las Vegas prior to a Grand Canyon rafting trip my camera was lost so after a frantic Internet search I paid $50 in taxi fare to purchase an Olympus Tough TG4 camera from B&C. It was a display model and I was given a discount. All seemed OK although they forgot to remind me about a memory card so I had to walk 3 miles round trip to Target to buy one. First rapid that soaked the TG4 resulted in a malfunctioning camera so I spent the "trip of a lifetime" with a broken camera. Needless to say I was not happy. I called B&C from the hotel when I returned and was told they had a 7 day return policy. Given my trip was 14 days with NO cell phone access that was sort of impossible to meet. I asked if I could return the camera as with the trip over I had no need for it, especially now that it had let me down and I no longer trusted it (warning - another TG4 also had the same problem on the trip!). I was politely told they would not return my money but they would help me return it to Olympus. That would have required another $50 taxi ride to do something I can do myself when I get home. I have since learned I could have gone to Costco and purchased it. Now I wish I had as they would have accepted a defective product back for refund with no questions (or Amazon if I had had the time to do it). So lesson learned - stay away from B&C and stick to the stores who know how to treat customers right.
