Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill is inside of Crystals mall in CityCenter. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the mall and is really easy to find. It's located next to other restaurants in Crystals such as Social House and Mastro's. It's open restaurant seating gives it the feeling of a food court type establishment. But obviously much more upscale to align with the Wolfgang Puck branding.
I admit, I've heard great things about it before from other friends. I'm also a big fan of Italian food so I was anxious to try it.
So we came here late on a weekday night. There was no wait and the restaurant was light. We decided to sit at the bar as there was happy hour bar menu. I'm not sure if that was a good choice. While the service here is great, the prices for what you get in food and atmosphere were not. Now don't get me wrong. The food isn't bad, but I expected more given the reputation and prices. The food itself is tasty. They seem to keep their approach on food very simple... which I prefer. But overall, I think that there are better alternatives for the prices. ie. Trattoria Reggiano at the Venetian
To mention, we had:
- Roasted Cauliflower
- Wild Mushrooms Porchini
- Steamed Spinach
- Spaghetti and Meatballs
- Asparagas Salad with Panna Cotta and Prosciutto
I'm sorry Wolfgang, but I'm not a fan.
