  • I don't know if malls have designations, but if they did, I would classify this as the Mommy and Professional's kinda mall. While Chinook may be the most popular mall in Calgary, the hidden gem is definitely Market Mall. Mostly because it is far away from the C-Train line, which means teens have to make an extra effort to just hang out there. The mall is clean, bright and has a great variety of stores! Right now, it is home to the only Apple store in the entire city. It also has many of my favourites like H&M, Banana Republic, American Apparel, Gap and The Bay. Yes, I said the Bay. Women will also have a great selection of clothing stores to choose from, but given my gender, I'll let someone else decide which are good and which are not. If I had to warn you about something, it would that there a lot of moms and strollers. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, but just be warned. You think you've seen a lot of babies and children, but I assure you, until you go to Market Mall, you really haven't.
