My first visit was on the afternoon of August 26th. The gentleman working there made a greater impression on me than even the outstanding pastries did. It was hot, they were busy and I asked what I should get as a first time customer. He said, "What we're really known for..." and stopped mid sentence as he started gesturing towards a mostly empty tray. Without saying another word he took it to the back and returned with a tray full of beautiful burnt almond little cakes...and continued, "What we're really known for are these". I loved his pride. I loved his work ethic. And man, I loved that little cake. If you know this guy...pass this on to him.
