  • Never have I been treated with such utter disregard. Tonight will probably be the last time I set foot in this Target. Since my Mother works at Sunrise Hospital I tend to stop in from time to time . We enjoy the pizza and icees available here and decided to check out Funko Pop Vinyls. While being back in the toy section we opted it to check out Halloween shop. My Five year old son decided he wanted this Ant Man costume and they had a coupon listed you get $10 off if you spend $40 in the Halloween shop excluding food, snacks and candy . We proceeded to pick out various Halloween bags, party favor type items and of course the costume totaling almost $45 before tax in Halloween items. The coupon didn't want to work stating there weren't enough eligible items. The lady checking us out questioned the candles we purchased. I advised that wasn't included in our calculation. She then tried to do the math. When she wasn't able to decide/ problem solve why . She ended up calling for her supervisor "Jennifer" who we had already encountered earlier when she forced us to move check out lines and caused us a big delay. When Jennifer showed up she said well is it all Halloween you realize it is "Before Tax" right ? I proceeded to let her know we know how to do math and definitely have items that total over $40. Jennifer said "is everything in that bag Halloween" and snatched it to another check stand to begin scanning , I proceeded to let her know the totals. After she demanded to see the coupon I got my phone back from the lady at the check stand and when she scanned it and it didn't work she simply looked at me and said "it's stationary that's why?" Instead of saying sorry or that we should move the stuff thanks for letting us know or anything she basically just was indifferent and rude and refused to let the girl helping us move a long her line so the people behind her were angry. They took it out on me stating I'm the rude one but here is the thing. If Jennifer knew it was wrong the items they should not be in the Halloween "Shop" I also believe she should of apologized. Because guess what? I would of just gotten my costume for $20 and gotten the five dollars off. Even with the Halloween items I picked if she did a price Correction would've only really been $5 off but for me it isn't about the money . My issue is the disrespect and the fact she had no solutions or consideration of my time. Not to mention trying to blame the customer is never the way to do business. Now party city and Walmart will get a majority of my Halloween purchases. I go to Target for the quality service and ease of check out. This one failed me on both ends plus upset me enough to call corporate
