| - Facial hair, don`t care? *whoop whoop*
Actually, I do care, which is what brought me to Simply Skin LV in the first place. I wanted a lower maintenance option for managing my lady face fur -rawr-. First things first: if you are expecting immediate, fantastic results, you are going to be let down, especially when it comes to dark, stubborn facial hair. On the other hand, if you are willing to put in the time, patience, and money to go through the treatments and eventually "maintenance" appointments, then you will be pleasantly surprised by the process and the results. Keeping it real.
This is my first experience with laser hair removal and I am SO glad I found Simply Skin LV. The day I move away from Las Vegas and have to find another laser hair clinic will be a sad day because this business has really set the bar high for my expectations of a laser place. This business is run professionally and smoothly(no pun intended). If you're interested in laser hair removal, give them a call to first set up a consultation to talk about what you are looking to achieve and what area of the body you are looking to have zapped.
I was late for my consultation(I called and let them know, but I still felt bad) due to a work situation and had to rush through all the paperwork and it was stressful, so word of advice: do NOT be late. There is a lot of in depth paperwork to fill out. Allot about 15-20 minutes for all of it. Anyway, after I filled out my paperwork I met with Anahit and she was very thorough and a straight shooter about the process and what I could expect(or not expect) from the laser hair treatments. Anahit was not there to BS me into some magical land of unicorns, she was there to explain the process to me and answer all my questions. I appreciated that. No one needs to be sold on some promise that will not come to fruition. She set the expectation for my treatments, let me know what a pain facial hair can be, and let me know that laser hair removal is not a one and done(especially for facial hair). It is a long term treatment plan that I will have to maintain from time to time after my initial round of treatments. After I met with her I was super nervous and I wasn't sure I was going to go through with it, but I am so glad I did. I ended up buying a package that day(Buy 6 treatments for one area and get 1 treatment free for that SAME area). The cost was very reasonable. Not cheap, but reasonable and doable for my budget.
Couple of quick notes before I go over my treatments/experience so far: This business is really on top of their scheduling. They send you an email and a text before your appointment(usually about 48 hours before) to confirm, which I love. Anahit also checks on your after your appointment to see how you're doing, which shows me they care about follow-up. The communication is open and it makes the process easy and stress free. The front reception area is nice and comfortable. There is a lot of stuff to look at (products for sale, brochures on treatments, candy to desire-no seriously, they have candy and I usually always stash a few pieces in my purse. Thanks, y'all!). I also appreciate that they schedule their appointments so they aren't all on top of each other. I never walk into a crazy crowded reception area. Ain't nobody got time for that. Lastly, the staff is friendly, but not overly so. What I mean by that is that they are kind and welcoming, but not fake, over the top nice. It's just a comfortable atmosphere. All the ladies are very helpful and willing to assist.
As far as my own personal laser hair removal facial treatment goes, I am very pleased thus far. I have had ten treatments so far and each treatment produces its own result. Like I mentioned before, facial hair is very stubborn, so I've learned that while some hair may initially shed, some will come back and need to be zapped again in order to get it tamed. I would say that I have about a 80% reduction in facial hair since my first treatment and I will continue my appointments every 4-5 weeks until it gets to a point where I can go into "maintenance". Anahit had an excellent way to describe maintenance. She asked what happens when you work out and get to a certain fitness level and then stop working out? You lose progress. It is sort of the same deal with laser hair removal. After a certain point, you have to do a little bit of "clean up" work every now and then to maintain the results. This, at first, seemed super unappealing to me to be honest. The more and more I go along the laser hair removal journey, though, the less daunting it seems. The pain is a non issue. I sort of enjoy it. Everyone needs a quick, hot rubber band snap in the face every now and then, am I right? :)
Overall, a great experience here. Staff is awesome, services work. Shout out to Alexis(who does most of my treatments). She is so sweet and an excellent tech. Definitely recommend this business if you're in the market for some laser hair removal.
