  • Smelly Cat is my new jam. Many reasons behind this, but number one amongst them is THEY ROAST THEIR OWN COFFEE. I haven't non-single brew coffee this good since SoCal. And believe me, freshly roasted coffee is seriously good. Earthier, smoother, more flavorful. But the coffee is not the only reason you should visit Smelly Cat. They carry first-rate snacks from premium local bakers, including some incredible gluten free options. I sprang for the gluten free peanut butter brownie and OMFG was it good. There's also an awesome patio area in the front where you can hipster-watch in NoDa. Those hilarious hipsters, always up to some sort of hullabaloo or haberdashery. You should go to Smelly Cat for all of these reasons. I look forward to exploring their shop again.
