| - It started with not being acknowledged by the staff. I met friends here and they greeted me with faces that said we should bolt before we get in too deep, but we stuck with it. They confirmed being there for 5-10 minutes prior to my arrival, standing at the counter, and not being acknowledged by the staff 3 feet in front of them. After 10-15 minutes of waiting, we grabbed her attention to use our Groupon.
The deal came with a tasting of 5 wines, a cheese platter, and $10 off a bottle of wine. The wine was sweet, pretty similar, and not for me. Cheese and crackers were good. The 5 one oz servings took an extremely long time to happen. Only one staff that night. The folks next to us ordered some garlic or cheese bread, which didn't arrive until after they finished tasting. They weren't pleased.
Another group of six came at :45 with 15 minutes to spare before closing; the staff stopped working with my group to tell them they were closed.
We finally wrapped up, got our bills. My Groupon wasn't taken off but card already processed. The staff couldn't remove it and told me I was only charged for a cheese plate, so didn't appear to try too hard. I wouldn't again pay what I did for this described experience and a bottle of wine I'll regift. She referred me to the manager because she was closing. I called three additional times following my visit, each time I was told my message was given to the manager. No response.
