I live in the DC metro area. I found Coca Cafe to be a great example of what I love about Pittsburgh: It offered reasonably priced creative dishes with fresh ingredients, hip decor, and excellent service. I ordered a dish that was basically eggs benedict but with fresh basil in the hollandaise sauce, and fried eggplant in lieu of ham. It was splendid. The bottomless coffee was rich. The ambiance was lively but not overbearing.
Coca made for an almost perfect Saturday brunch. Without exaggeration, a place like this in DC would charge almost double the price.
