I went to Sycamore "before it was cool". Since they opened, they have exploded in popularity and you will always find a crowd here. Not a whole lot of room inside. They have a main bar (no stools), a long bench with some seats, and a small seating section that can probably hold around 30 people. Most of the action is outside. Countless picnic tables with umbrellas are beyond the main patio entrance. Sycamore frequently has live music, they almost always have a food truck, and they host Food Truck Friday as well. Definitely a good spot for socializing.
However, the one thing I will say about Sycamore that "earns" it the three stars is the beer. Not very good. They have a lot of different beers on tap, and seem to always be introducing something new. I'd rather them just focus on honing in on a few good beers, perfecting those, and then broaden the horizons.
But obviously they're doing something right because it is one of the most happening places in South End day in and day out. Overall: Beer = 2 stars and everything else is 4+ stars so I'll average it out to three.
