So working in the medical field really does a number on just about everything to me. I've always had back problems, but getting older, I'm starting to see that just about ever place on me has the potential to lock up. I had the choice between two male deep tissue therapists, and decided to go with the person with the earlier time slot. I normally go for female staff, but my back wasn't going to wait another day. Even when I got there a little late (I can't go very fast during a gout flare up), he was able to give me the full 90 minutes. This was because I was the last person of the day, and I don't expect to be that fortunate a second time :P
I opted for a firm pressure massage to work out all the knots and kinks. It's not exactly a painless massage, but Jeremy found the knot I'd developed in my shoulder from sleeping in a chair in a hotel a week prior and worked on it until it no longer radiated pain up the side of my head. He found a second one on the other side my back that I didn't realise was there.
My only complaint? He told me he'd be moving in about a month!
