I'll start from beginning to end of my experiences for why I felt truly like one star experience. First issue was the whole apartment was being flooded out with bees since turning the irrigation on. When I said there was a bee issue in the grass and at the pool i was swarmed they said bees go by water and no concerns. .... ( one week later irrigation was off and I knew three people who went in same day as be from dogs getting stung and one kid) ... now building is old enough the the tile walls in the bathroom are crumbling and mold/ or mildew is growing behind. l went to them with this issue and they said dry my shower down after use with a towel and argued with me about using the word mold when it needs to be mildew. ( I would encourage anyone look up those words and see acronym) and really personal skills don't require checking my verbiage and a lecture on it. Finally only a day( give them that) when they came to inspect to see had said we see the granite isn't intact so we will redo your bathroom. Turns out redoing a bathroom was using ceramic paint to cover everything. Looks great and I guess If that's a fix for them then okay..( okay I guess if it's fine to bring up the paint eventually cracked from no support behind it and now it's back to using caulking) .... next ...there as a dust storm and had been over a month for my air filter. They declined the order saying not needed but every three months. (cheapest air filter that when purchased from store says one a month) ..... keep in mind this is all over 8 months time. ... about three months till my lease was up I went in four times to be told don't worry about anything until the paperwork to renew comes out. ... finally I walked in three days ago talked to terry I believe was her name. She was actually really sweet and said she needed a manager. Made small talk and asked if I was staying. I let her know I was unsure. She mentioned she hope I would stay. I let her know I was unsure. Time took to long so requested she email me. She was nice enough to call and say I would have paper work in few days. ... few days was to Monday night at 6 pm right before closing. That didn't bug me is was that as it said 60 day notice. .... I am not even at 45 days notice. Why was I brushed off so many times on no worries until the renewal letter comes out when that wasn't the case. ( it wasn't terry job to tell me that when she looked up to see when my lease was up oh and did you know it's 60 days but wow might be nice considering ) ... so I called stating my situation and when I brought this up Tuesday I was told well we switched all the staff and sorry. I said sorry wasn't a solution and they are here now and regardless of who never bothered to help me the four times I walked in before it was their job to provide a solution. Was told that I signed a lease and I knew ... I told her that all other apartments I lived at gave me what my rent increase at a time before my notice requirements would be so I knew if I could or wanted to stay. Her response was that's it's a courtesy and not required. But my notice was required. I was agitated in the office but not once cursed or yelled. I was direct and stating my point. She bothered to say while I waited for her to do "numbers" that she had only met me once and no need to take it out on her .... I understand I was agitated but I work with hundreds of clients and would think her being a manager would have the knowledge to know someone being direct and straight the point regardless of the "energy" would not be categorized as "taking it out on her " ... who else do you state your point to. I think maybe Rachel the manager would be nice and sweet but her solution was only resign and I'll work in rent and to try to put me in my place. I bothered to say nothing back because you can't bother to make sense to someone basic logic of how the renewal process being a courtesy when your talking about money is absurd you can't fathom to teach communication skills and the difference of agitated person speaking direct and to the point vs someone who may have cursed or yelled. She then calls me later to say she never realized my old lease was actually 45 days and I wouldn't have to pay the 60. Are you kidding me. You didn't even look me up as a resident before telling me something. Not Great manager work. And the number come out ridiculous to leave but they don't give you the break down of how they get the fees ... I requested this and still waiting. ( not been 24 hours so not a complaint ) anyway I guess maybe I'm used to really good apartments who let me know the rent increase before my notice was due and I have learned a lesson. But everything leading up is what brought me to want to leave anyway. And it sucks i had to pay for the mistakes of the employees they apparently got rid of. ( which must be a reason and should give me some credibility). Anyway I hope others have so much better luck
