  • TWO WORDS: WHITE SAUCE. I finally tried Halal Guys after all the talk and hype build around it. When I visited during a weekday night, there was no lineup. I ordered a large platter with both beef and chicken. The platter was enormous and I got a table to eat at. The food aroma was very fragrant and the rice taste great. I thought that the dish really depended on the white sauce. If they didn't have that sauce, it would have tasted really bland. The beef and chicken were just average. That white sauce really brought the platter together. Next time, I'm going to ask them to just load the white sauce. In my opinion, this place is definitely hyped up and I do not like how the only thing that made the dish good was just the sauce. A sauce should not define a dish. There were a lot of different food deliver carriers that enter and exit this place. I was already full after finishing half the platter and had to take out the rest for later.
