| - I am getting married next month and was really interested in trying a brazilian for the wedding/honeymoon. Everyone I talked to said to start off waxing (down there) slowly and not all at once! After much research (and turned down other Groupons due to ratings), I finally found European Wax Center. It was definitely a perk for it being less than 5 miles from where I live.
After researching their website, I learned I qualified for a free wax because I would be a new customer. I signed up for the bikini line wax (complimentary brow, underarm or bikini line wax for women or ear, nose or brow for gents. Need to have state ID and live "local") I created a profile online and selected my desired date/time appointment with "no preference" of waxer.
I arrived to the center (which was very easy to find)... On the same strip as the Rac Room in Rivergate... It was a cute modern place. Appeared very new and clean. I was instantly greeted by the ladies at the front. They informed me I would be with Alyssa.
Alyssa was amazing! Of course I was nervous, but Alyssa talked me through the procedure and talked to me casually about my weekend plans, etc. Helped take your mind off the waxing! It hurt, of course, since it was my first time waxing, but it was not as bad as I thought it would be.
Back at the front, the ladies explained the package and customer loyalty plans for me (which as of right now, I did not sign up for) and helped schedule me my next appointment. They also gave me a sample of 3 products! A wash, lotion and hair softner to help prevent ingrown hairs and just keep the hair softer as it comes in for the next time!
Overall, I enjoyed my experience at EWC minus the bit of pain I felt ;) I think if you are a serious waxer, their packages are the way to go as you save a lot more money in the long run. As for me, I'm not positive I want to be a religious waxer yet!
