| - People who are supposed to help patients like receptionists are very unpleasant at this clinic. Every time when I go there, I feel like I have to write a review about it so here we go. Portguguese lady is ok but very moody I found. Indian receptionist is very racist and rude. I can't believe she can be a receptionist at the clinic. She somehow always talks down to me as though I do not understand the language. Let's be clear, I speak well enough English: I have been Toronto almost 10 years and am a translator.
When I went the last time with my stroller with my baby, she kept asking like "does no one say you should leave your stroller outside?" "are you bringing your stroller inside?" "are you sure no one said that you can't bring your stroller inside."
Well, I never had problems before since no one said anything but saying "hi" to my baby. And has been almost 1 year since I started bring my baby. Every time, this kind of subtle harassment from her happens to me. As a patient, this is very very unpleasant.
One more thing, whenever I am a bit late, I mean 3 to 5 minutes if not shorter, receptionist calls me and leaves a voice message stating that I owe $60. This is not a medical clinic that you imagine. In fact, I witnessed a patient being accused of not paying a late fee of $60 because he couldn't as late for 20 minutes.
The conversations went like this;
"Really? But I'm here though."
"Sorry, sir. You were late and the Doctor had to wait."
"(sigh) ok, but I don't have cash right now. Can I pay next time?"
"No, sir. This is a rule. You have to pay right now."
"But I don't have cash right now."
"Bank machine is right there, sir. Cross the street. You can withdraw your money to pay us."
I was very shocked to hear. This is at least something you hear from your GP's office..
People who go there or thinking of going there should think twice about this clinic.
